This mesh leaf guard is designed to be used on top of a standard winter pool cover to assist with a smooth spring opening. Leaf guards do not replace proper maintenance. Covers should be kept clean and dry throughout winter. It is recommended to use an automatic cover pump with your winter cover, regardless if a leaf guard is used. Covers with holes should be discarded to avoid accidentally draining the pool and to prevent pool water from filling the cover.
