The Pool Tool Skimmer Basket Zinc Anode (104-A) is a simple yet highly effective sacrificial anode designed to protect your pool’s metal hardware from galvanic corrosion and electrolysis. Unlike inline models that require plumbing, this “drop-in” solution attaches directly to the bottom of your existing skimmer basket using a stainless steel bolt and nut. Once installed, the high-purity zinc rod acts as a lightning rod for corrosive electrical currents, sacrificing itself to prevent the pitting of heaters, light niches, and ladders, while also helping to eliminate black plaster stains.
