SpeedStir®

The Taylor® 9265 SpeedStir® is a portable, battery-operated magnetic stirrer designed to streamline and improve the accuracy of water titration tests, such as those for chlorine, alkalinity, and calcium hardness. By replacing manual swirling with a consistent 600 RPM spinning motion, it thoroughly incorporates each reagent drop in a fraction of a second, which is critical for identifying precise color changes in tests like the FAS-DPD chlorine titration. The unit features a white mixing platform for high color contrast and six integrated LEDs to illuminate the sample, making it easier to read results in low-light conditions. Typically sold as a “Start-Up Pack,” the kit includes the stirrer unit, a Teflon®-coated magnetic stir bar, a 25 mL graduated sample tube (model 9198), and four AA batteries.
